1. General Provisions
Electric bicycles distributed by Barta Erik, sole proprietor (hereinafter: Seller), are subject to warranty and statutory guarantee in accordance with applicable Hungarian legislation.
The warranty covers defects resulting from manufacturing faults, provided that the product has been used and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and intended use.
These Warranty Terms shall be interpreted together with the warranty certificate provided at the time of purchase and the Hungarian-language user manual supplied with the product.
In case of discrepancy, the official warranty documents issued by the manufacturer shall prevail.
Warranty administration is provided by the Seller and the officially designated service partner.
Official service partner:
Zugló Kerékpár Kft.
1148 Budapest, Bátorkeszi street 6.
2. Warranty Period
The warranty period begins on the date of purchase and may be enforced upon presentation of the following documents:
- invoice or receipt
- completed, stamped, and signed warranty certificate
The warranty period may vary by component according to the conditions specified by the manufacturer (Fiido).
3. Conditions for Warranty Validity
The warranty is valid only if:
- the bicycle is used in accordance with the user manual
- mandatory and recommended maintenance is performed
- no unauthorized modification or intervention has been made
- repairs are carried out exclusively by the Seller or the designated official service partner
⚠️ Important:
Failure to perform the maintenance specified in the product description and Hungarian-language user manual automatically results in loss of warranty.
4. Cases Resulting in Loss of Warranty
The warranty is not valid or shall cease in the following cases:
- improper use
- improper maintenance or failure to perform maintenance
- mechanical damage, impact, breakage, water ingress
- repairs performed by non-authorized service or unqualified persons
- unauthorized modification or tuning
This includes in particular:
- unlocking the bicycle or removing speed limitation
- unauthorized activation of assistance above 25 km/h
- violation of EU and Hungarian regulations
➡️ Any such intervention results in immediate loss of warranty.
In cases of interventions leading to warranty loss, the Seller is entitled to reject the entire warranty claim, regardless of whether the defect is directly related to the modification.
5. Wear and Tear Parts
The warranty does not cover parts subject to natural wear and tear, including in particular:
- brake pads
- tires
- light bulbs and lighting units
- chain and sprocket
- cables
The condition of these parts depends on usage type and intensity.
6. Battery Warranty
The lithium battery is covered by the warranty specified by the manufacturer, which:
covers manufacturing defects
does not cover water ingress, physical damage, or overheating
⚠️ Storing the battery for an extended period (more than one month) without charging, or storing it fully discharged, results in loss of warranty.
Battery replacement after the warranty period is possible only upon return of the defective battery.
Natural capacity decrease during use does not qualify as a warranty defect, provided that capacity does not fall below 70% during the warranty period.
7. Warranty Claim Procedure
In case of a warranty claim, the Buyer must:
- report the defect without delay
- deliver the bicycle in clean, transportable condition
- present the required documentation
The Seller and the official service partner are entitled to examine the cause of the defect and determine whether it falls within warranty coverage.
A condition for enforcing a warranty claim is that the Buyer delivers the bicycle at their own expense to the contracted official service partner of Barta Erik (BRT Ebike by Fiido), Zugló Kerékpár Kft.
The Seller does not provide transportation or collection services for either warranty or non-warranty repairs.
Under applicable Hungarian law, delivery of the product to the service location is the Buyer’s responsibility.
The Seller and the service partner assume no liability for damage occurring during transport of the bicycle.
